Aged 60+

Applicants must be 60 years of age or over, and be in good health. The Almshouses is for people who can live independently, though this may include help from family, friends and home help. Most upstairs flats can be accessed using a stairlift.


Regular church attendance

Applicants must be regularly attending a protestant church that believes in the doctrine of the Holy Trinity. It is expected that church attendance will continue after appointment, and that Residents will also join the weekly on site service on Thursdays.


Being of limited means

Being an Almshouse means that applicants must be of limited means. The Trustees define this based on the median retired household income, which can be found on the Office of National Statistics web site. Household income must not exceed this amount. Capital held must not exceed twice this amount, and the value of any property to be sold must not exceed four times this amount.
